COURSE DESCRIPTION SWIM (approx. .75K or 1/2 mile) Swim features an out and back course leaving from a large boat dock and returning to a beach area. The course will be marked with buoys and will be patrolled by lifeguards' canoes and kayaks. Water temperature is expected to be 74 degrees. BIKE (approx. 20K or 12 miles) The bike course follows a route around the perimeter of Decker Lake. From the transition zone athletes will exit the park via the main gate and turn right on Hog Eye Road which merges into Decker Lake Road. Next they will turn right into the Travis County Expo Center Gate 3, follow the perimeter road, exit via Gate 1 and turn right on to Decker Lane and then right on Lindell Lane- follow Lindell to Bloor Rd and then turn right onto Highway 973. From Highway 973, turn right on Decker Lake Rd, right on Blue Bluff Rd and then enter the park via the main gate. RUN (approx. 5K or 3.1 miles) The run course exits from the transition zone and follows a course along a grassy path through the park. Depending upon weather conditions, a portion of the course may have to be deleted due to flooding concerns, resulting in a slightly shorter run course than 5K.
