Cystic Fibrosis is an incurable hereditary disorder that
leads to problems with breathing and digestion and
infection. Most babies born with cystic fibrosis thirty
years ago died in early childhood, but advances in
diagnosing and treating the disease have significantly
improved its prognosis. With research and funding, even
better treatments may be produced in the coming years.
